Inspiring, learning and building partnerships

This inaugural LawWorks Clinics conference will bring together clinic coordinators, supervisors and volunteers from different sectors, organisations and specialisms to share good practice, exchange ideas, review the landscape and further develop the pro bono clinic community.

The conference will be of value for well-established clinics and clinic coordinators as well as those new to pro bono. There will be presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops, with opportunities for networking and information sharing.

Topics covered during the day will include:

  • managing clinic volunteers;
  • advice via remote access systems;
  • developing ‘casework clinics’;
  • the impact of SRA Handbook changes;
  • incorporating LegalTech;
  • an update on the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE);
  • effective tools and resources;
  • making the most of data and client feedback;
  • policy contexts and the LASPO review.

Keynote speaker will be Corey Stoughton, Advocacy and Acting Director of Liberty.

Lunch and refreshments included.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day!

Organised by

LawWorks (the Solicitors Pro Bono Group) is a charity which encourages, supports and celebrates pro bono by solicitors, law schools and law students across England and Wales. We are supported by the Law Society and by over 100 members, including international and City firms, regional, medium and small firms, and in-house solicitors and their organisations.

The focus of our work is on supporting and developing local independently run pro bono advice clinics and also connecting smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations in need of free legal advice with pro bono volunteers from amongst our membership.

We support pro bono clinic volunteers and our members with training, networking opportunities and a range of online resources and materials. Our Annual Pro Bono and Student Awards recognise and celebrate the pro bono work of our members, partner organisations, law schools and law students.
